IPTV Setup Guides: From Login Details to First Channel

After you subscribe or request a trial, you receive login details and add them to an IPTV app. This page shows what you should receive, then walks through setup on each device: Firestick, Smart TV, Android, iPhone, Apple TV, PC or Mac, and MAG box. Most setups take about 10 minutes.

A provider should send you everything below. If something is missing, message us.

Firestick and Fire TV (about 5 minutes)

Set up your IPTV subscription on an Amazon Fire TV Stick or Fire TV device.

  1. Get an IPTV app

    On the home screen, open Search and type 'IPTV Smarters Pro' or 'TiviMate'. Select the app and choose Download or Get.

  2. Add a new user

    Open the app, choose Add New User, then Login with Xtream Codes API.

  3. Enter your login details

    Type or paste the server URL, username and password from your login message, then save. Pasting avoids typing mistakes.

  4. Let it load and start watching

    The first load can take a minute or two. Open Live TV to browse by category, or use search.

Android Phone, Tablet and Android TV (about 5 minutes)

Android is one of the easiest setups, because you can get the apps straight from Google Play.

  1. Install an app from Google Play

    Open the Play Store, search for TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro, and install it.

  2. Add your login

    Open the app, choose to add a playlist or user, select Xtream Codes API, and enter your server URL, username and password.

  3. Browse and save favorites

    Let the channels load, browse by category, open the guide for the schedule, and star the channels you watch most.

iPhone, iPad and Apple TV (about 5 minutes)

Set up your IPTV subscription with a player from the Apple App Store. No jailbreak is needed.

  1. Install a player

    Open the App Store, search for an IPTV player such as IBO Player or IPTV Smarters Pro, and install it.

  2. Add a playlist

    Open the app and add a new playlist or user. Choose Xtream Codes API if it is offered.

  3. Enter your login details

    Enter the server URL, username and password from your login message, give the playlist a name, and save.

  4. Keep playback smooth

    On iPhone and iPad, allow Background App Refresh for the app in Settings. On Apple TV, use the same login.

Samsung and LG Smart TV (about 7 minutes)

Samsung and LG use different apps and methods. Follow the card for your TV.

Samsung Smart TV

Works on many Tizen models. App availability depends on your TV model and region.

  1. Find a player

    Open the Samsung app store and search for an IPTV player such as Smart IPTV or SS IPTV.

  2. Note your MAC address

    Open the app and write down the MAC address it shows on screen.

  3. Send it to us

    Message us on WhatsApp or Telegram with your MAC address so we can link your subscription.

  4. Restart the app

    Your channels should appear after activation.

LG Smart TV

Works on many webOS models. App availability depends on your TV model and region.

  1. Open the store

    Open the LG Content Store from the home screen.

  2. Install a player

    Search for and install an IPTV player such as IPTV Smarters Pro or SS IPTV.

  3. Add your login

    Choose Add New User, then Login with Xtream Codes API, and enter your login details.

  4. Browse and save favorites

    Open the channels and star the ones you watch most.

Windows PC and Mac (about 6 minutes)

VLC Media Player is a free option for both. It plays your playlist, but it does not have a full TV guide.

  1. Install VLC

    Download VLC from videolan.org and install it. Use a recent version.

  2. Open a network stream

    In VLC, open the Media menu and choose Open Network Stream (Ctrl+N on Windows, Cmd+N on Mac).

  3. Paste your playlist link

    Paste the M3U link from your login message and press Play.

  4. Browse your channels

    Open the Playlist panel (Ctrl+L on Windows, Cmd+L on Mac) and double-click a channel.

When Something Doesn't Work

Most problems are small. Find your symptom, try the fix, and message us if it doesn't help.

Troubleshooting: finding an IPTV buffering fix, resolving an IPTV login error, investigating an IPTV black screen, and checking IPTV EPG not loading.

Buffering or freezing Slow or unstable connection, or a busy time Test your speed (about 10 Mbps for HD, 25 for 4K), use a wired connection, restart your device and router.
Login or authorization error A typing mistake or the wrong login method Paste the server URL, username and password, check for extra spaces, and choose Xtream Codes API.
Black screen on a channel A problem with that channel or the app Close and reopen the app, try another channel, and message us if every channel fails.
Empty TV guide (EPG) The guide has not refreshed yet Refresh the playlist or EPG in the app's settings and wait a few minutes.
App crashes or closes Full storage or a bad app version Clear the app's cache, restart the device, or reinstall the app.
